  • UPDATED VENUE

    Due to major tile replacement repairwork at CMLHS Foyer Level 2, the venue for CInTeLL has been moved to CMLHS Tutorial Rooms 9-10 on Level 3.

    UPDATED RULES & REGULATIONS


    This unforeseen circumstance has led to a number of changes. They are as follows:

    1. We shall no longer be providing display boards due to the limited space of our new venue.
    2. As such, participants are requested to display their posters using a Banner Display Tripod/Round Stand. Your poster should be 2 x 5 ft and can be printed on synthetic paper with matte or glossy lamination.
    3. Do note that we do NOT provide the tripod stand.
    4. A table and a chair, as well as breakfast and lunch, for each participant will still be provided.
    5. Apart from posters, you may also bring whatever evidence to support your best practice, such as videos, pictures, certificates, awards, newspaper articles, etc.
    6. To make up for this inconvenience caused, we offer a FREE 2 hour workshop by ICoLLT forum panelist, Nor Fadzleen Sa'adon entitled “I'm Game: Engaging 21st Century Teachers and Learners” on Day 2 of CInTeLL Exhibition.
    7. All Gold Medal winners have the opportunity to present their best practices in two knowledge-sharing sessions on Day 2 of CInTeLL Exhibition at:

      a. 08:30 - 10:00 a.m. (CInTeLL participants only)
      b. 12:00 - 13:00 p.m (both CInTeLL & ICoLLT participants).

    REGISTRATION & PRESENTATION SCHEDULE

    Confirmation of your presentation on the final schedule is contingent upon receipt of the presenter's registration and full payment of fees before 25th May 2018.

    The preliminary program, including registration materials, is posted online http://icollt.ump.edu.my/index.php. Kindly fill-in our online application form for registration, if you have not already, via https://bit.ly/2kamG0U Please register and quote your ID no. for future correspondence. Confirmation of payment will be sent when your registration and fees have been received and processed.

    Presenters are required to register and pay fees by 25th May 2018. At that time, your presentation will be dropped from the programme if you are not yet registered with fees paid in full.     You will receive final confirmation of your place on the program as well as specific details and information about your session between 3-8 June 2018 (contingent upon your registration and payment of fees by 25th May 2018). Please note that individual requests for specific presentation dates and/or times cannot be addressed due to the very large number of presentations and other factors that the program committee must consider when scheduling the overall program.

  • cintellIn line with the aims of ICoLLT 2018, CInTeLL (Creative and Innovative Teaching and Learning of Languages) 2018 is introduced to allow language educators and practitioners including pre-service and in service teachers from schools and higher learning institutions to share their best teaching innovations and practices through an exhibition competition. Through CInTeLL, we aim to explore new frontiers in the field of language learning, whatever the language is, be it English, Malay, Mandarin, Arabic, Tamil, Japanese, Spanish, German, Turkish, French, Korean, and so on. Through the experience of the language educators and practitioners with their various underpinning teaching philosophies, beliefs and practices, CInTeLL provides a platform for producing dedicated language educators and practitioners who are reflective and passionate for lifelong learning and are willing to discover, learn and relearn new approaches to heighten the Teaching and Learning experience..

    There are three parts to CInTeLL 2018:
    1. Exhibition
    2. Knowledge Sharing Workshops
    3. Pedagogical ideas book chapter
  • 1. This competition is open to all language educators and practitioners at all levels.
    2. The combination of lecturers, staff and students is allowed.
    3. The product or products of the exhibition must relate to the process of teaching and learning of languages.
    4. Participants may submit more than one entry. Each entry is RM 380.00 for all categories.

  • Medals and Certificates

    All exhibitors will be awarded with certificates of achievement and medals (gold, silver and bronze) per entry based on their presentation and performance during the exhibition competition. Additional medals and certificates of achievement can be ordered from the secretariat at an additional cost.
  • 1. Participants must demonstrate their respective innovation/best practice in front of two judges during the judging session.
    2. The time allocated for the presentation and Q&A is 10 minutes.
    3. The contest will be assessed by two judges appointed by CinTeLL and ICoLLT steering committee. The judges' decision is final.
    4. The winners of the competition will be announced during the closing ceremony and the participants will need to be present at the time of the announcement.
