  • cintellIn line with the aims of ICoLLT 2018, CInTeLL (Creative and Innovative Teaching and Learning of Languages) 2018 is introduced to allow language educators and practitioners including pre-service and in service teachers from schools and higher learning institutions to share their best teaching innovations and practices through an exhibition competition. Through CInTeLL, we aim to explore new frontiers in the field of language learning, whatever the language is, be it English, Malay, Mandarin, Arabic, Tamil, Japanese, Spanish, German, Turkish, French, Korean, and so on. Through the experience of the language educators and practitioners with their various underpinning teaching philosophies, beliefs and practices, CInTeLL provides a platform for producing dedicated language educators and practitioners who are reflective and passionate for lifelong learning and are willing to discover, learn and relearn new approaches to heighten the Teaching and Learning experience..

    There are three parts to CInTeLL 2018:
    1. Exhibition
    2. Knowledge Sharing Workshops
    3. Pedagogical ideas book chapter
  • 1. This competition is open to all language educators and practitioners at all levels.
    2. The combination of lecturers, staff and students is allowed.
    3. The product or products of the exhibition must relate to the process of teaching and learning of languages.
    4. Participants may submit more than one entry. Each entry is RM 380.00 for all categories.

  • Each entry is charged at RM 380.00 for all categories.

  • Medals and Certificates

    All exhibitors will be awarded with certificates of achievement and medals (gold, silver and bronze) per entry based on their presentation and performance during the exhibition competition. Additional medals and certificates of achievement can be ordered from the secretariat at an additional cost.
  • 1. All submissions for participation must be completed online. The registration form is available on the ICoLLT 2018 portal.
    2. All participants are to strictly abide by the important dates provided.
    3. The Committee reserves the right NOT TO accept any submission without disclosing any reasons thereof.
    4. The space allocated for every participation is 1m x 1m for each booth. CInTeLL provides only the following:
    1. Display board (1 unit)
    2. Chair (for 1 person)
    3. Meals: Breakfast, Lunch and Tea (2 days)

    5. Participants are required to prepare the following:
    1. Participants should prepare and print A1 sized posters (841 x 594 mm / 33.1 x 23.4 inches) based on participants’ creativity with a logical layout that is easy to comprehend. All posters must be in the English language. All related costs are to be borne by the participants themselves.
    2. Participants are also encouraged to provide additional materials such as brochures, photographs, medals, certificates of appreciation or other materials to support their respective innovation/ best practice.
    3. A poster number will be assigned by the secretariat via email before the event. All participants are responsible to mount their own poster on the corresponding display board before the judging session begins.
    4. Participants must complete the setup of their display according to the time stipulated by CInTeLL. This will be updated in the Tentative Programme soon.
    5. Participants should bring their own laptop (if required). Participants are also advised to bring their own broadband for presentation purposes and so on.
    6. CInTeLL shall not be held responsible for any loss or theft or damage of exhibits at the display area during the event. CInTeLL shall not be liable for any injury, loss, or damage that may occur to participants’ property from any cause whatsoever and or for any loss sustained by the participants directly or indirectly.
    7. In the event the participants cancel their registration for the exhibition competition after the payment deadline, no refund will be made.
  • 1. Participants must demonstrate their respective innovation/best practice in front of two judges during the judging session.
    2. The time allocated for the presentation and Q&A is 10 minutes.
    3. The contest will be assessed by two judges appointed by CinTeLL and ICoLLT steering committee. The judges' decision is final.
    4. The winners of the competition will be announced during the closing ceremony and the participants will need to be present at the time of the announcement.
