James McLellan, Ph.D.

Dr James McLellan is a Senior Assistant Professor at the University of Brunei Darussalam, Brunei. He has previously taught at secondary and tertiary levels in Brunei, the UK, France, Malaysia, Australia and Aotearoa (New Zealand). His research interests include language alternation online, Southeast Asian Englishes, Borneo indigenous languages, and classroom discourse in multilingual contexts. He is co-editor, with Roger Barnard, of Codeswitching in University English-Medium Classes: Asian Perspectives (Bristol, England: Multilingual Matters, 2014), and has recently been conducting research that challenges traditional notions of languages as fixed and separate systems.

Dr. Nurkhamimi Zainuddin holds a PhD degree in Computer Assisted Language Learning from International Islamic University Malaysia. Currently, he is the Deputy Director at Centre for Global Open Access Learning, Immersive Technology and Quality Assurance (GOAL-ITQAN) and a senior lecturer at the Faculty of Major Languages, Universiti Sains Islam Malaysia (USIM). His research focus is on Teaching Arabic as a Second Language and Technology Enhanced Pedagogy. He is also a member of The Malaysian e-Learning Council for Public Universities (MEIPTA). Nurkhamimi is currently the editor of International Young Scholar Journals of Language, Video Journal of Innovative Pedagogies, Malaysian Journal of Educational Technology and Journal of Technology and Information Education. In addition, he is the recipient of USIM excellent service award for the year 2016. To date, he is actively involved in numerous research in the area of Open & Flexible Learning. Lastly, he coined his own term which is FLOOC (Foreign Language Open Online Course) by adapting the concept of "Learning Buffet".

Dr. Balazs is currently a senior lecturer in German in the Department of Foreign Languages of Universiti Malaysia Pahang. His research field includes (but is not limited to) the articulatory and acoustic phonetics of German, and newer theories of syntax. He has published numerous articles, reviews, translations and co-authored an introduction to German phonetics. He holds a Ph.D. degree in linguistics from University of Pannonia. For the past 9 years, Dr. Balazs has been teaching German and Linguistics in Indonesia and Malaysia.

Nor Fadzleen Binti Sa’don is a Master Teacher of English Language at SMK Bandar Baru Uda, Johor. She read her B.Ed. (Hon) TESL at University of Exeter, Innovation Management at Harvard University and MSc. IT Management at UTM. She is currently completing her PhD in Management of Technology at Malaysia-Japan International Institute of Technology, UTM. She wrote for Utusan Malaysia, Pelangi and Oxford Fajar and has published more than 10 academic papers and book chapters and currently working on MicroCredential Programme for Malaysian teachers on Higher Order Thinking Skills for Universiti Sains Malaysia. She was selected to join the National Open Education Resource (OER) Committee to revise the design of online resources for schools in Malaysia. She enjoys knowledge sharing and was the keynote speaker for the 6th International Malaysia Education Technology Convention 2014 and key presenters for Social Media Workshops for Malaysian Fully Residential Schools 2015, IUCEL 2017, K-NOVASI 2018 and Johor State English Language Teachers Conference 2018.
